Kids Jiu Jitsu
Brazilian Jiu Jitsu (BJJ) isn’t just for adults. In fact, it’s the perfect activity for kids!
When it comes to self defense, BJJ empowers a smaller individual to fight against a larger opponent. At Redmption Jiu Jitsu, our Kids Brazilian Jiu Jitsu program is designed to introduce children to the exciting world of martial arts while instilling important values such as discipline, respect, and self-confidence. Our experienced instructors create a positive and engaging learning environment where youths can develop both physically and mentally. Which is why we offer the following Kids Class sessions:
- Littles (3-5)
- Kids (6-12)
In our Littles class, children aged 3-5 embark on a fun-filled journey into the fundamentals of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. Through age-appropriate games and activities, our experienced instructors foster coordination, balance, and basic motor skills. Littles learn the importance of respect, teamwork, and self-control in a supportive atmosphere that promotes both physical and emotional growth.
or children aged 6-12, our Kids program focuses on building a strong foundation in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu techniques while emphasizing values like respect, perseverance, and sportsmanship. Through engaging drills and interactive lessons, young practitioners develop problem-solving skills, enhance flexibility, and gain self-confidence. The curriculum is designed to cater to various skill levels, ensuring a positive and challenging experience for every child.
Our Kids Gi classes introduce young warriors to the traditional uniform and etiquette of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. Wearing the gi not only adds a sense of tradition but also provides practical benefits in developing grips, control, and overall technique. This program emphasizes both self-defense and competition aspects, giving kids a well-rounded understanding of the art while fostering a sense of camaraderie and discipline.
Kids No Gi
If you decide to enroll your child in No-Gi Jiu Jitsu, they’ll probably get to wear clothes they already own! No-Gi BJJ ditches the kimono and pants for athletic wear, like a rash guard and shorts. This style of BJJ doesn’t allow you to grab your opponent’s clothes, which leads to a much faster pace. If your first priority for your child is self-defense, No-Gi Jiu Jitsu is probably your best bet, as it mimics real-life altercations
Redemption Jiu Jitsu is dedicated to empowering you with the confidence and self-esteem needed to succeed in everyday life. Jiu Jitsu can bring out the positive qualities that have always been a part of you, whether that is inner calm, positive mental attitude, patience, or self-discipline. Jiu Jitsu training will help you overcome fear, anger, and self-doubt, and leave you feeling confident in any situation.
From the moment anyone steps into our building, they will be met with a supportive and inclusive environment of instructors and fellow students who want them to succeed. Because students regularly spar each other in class, you may be surprised to learn just how strong the friendships in our BJJ classes are. Jiu Jitsu teaches students the thrill of winning as well as the humility of losing, and we make sure our students respect each other throughout all the highs and lows of their training.
When practicing No-Gi Jiu Jitsu, you’ll shed your uniform for stretchy athletic wear, such as shorts and a rash guard. Without the lapel and collar of a kimono to grab hold of, No-Gi Jiu Jitsu is much faster and requires quick thinking. While it’s up for you to decide, many feel that No-Gi BJJ is better when it comes to preparing for real-life altercations.
